Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026

1. What LandLedger is

LandLedger LLC ("LandLedger", "we", "us") runs a marketplace app that connects people who need something done ("Job Creators") with independent people who do it ("Workers"): home fixes, cleaning, delivery and moving, errands and help, events, and more. We are not a party to the agreement between a Job Creator and a Worker, we do not employ Workers, and we do not perform, supervise or guarantee the work.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You sign in with a phone number or Google account and must keep your information accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

3. Posting jobs and bidding

Job Creators describe jobs honestly, choose the right category and type of work, and must have the right to have the work done where it will happen. Workers bid only on work they can do and are, where the law requires, licensed, insured or permitted to do. An accepted bid is an agreement between the Job Creator and the Worker. Workers are independent contractors, not LandLedger employees, and are responsible for their own taxes.

4. Payments and escrow

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying or receiving payouts you also agree to Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement for Workers.
  • When a Job Creator pays for an accepted bid, the funds are held until the Job Creator releases them.
  • When funds are released, the Worker receives the job price minus card processing fees and LandLedger's service fee (currently 3% of the job price).
  • Workers must complete Stripe's identity and bank verification to be paid. Stripe may send tax forms as required by law.
  • For per-hour work, the job price is a total for the estimated hours shown on the job. Any change in price or scope is agreed before the work, and the payment reflects the accepted price.

5. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

Our Refund Policy (getlandledger.com/refunds) is part of these Terms. In short: a Job Creator may cancel a paid job for a full refund before the Worker submits proof; a Worker may withdraw, which refunds the Job Creator; and either party may report an issue, which freezes the payment until LandLedger decides whether to release it to the Worker or refund the Job Creator. Our decision on a dispute is final as far as the held funds are concerned, but it does not limit any other legal rights you have.

6. Location and contact privacy

Other users see only an approximate area for a job or property. The exact location and phone numbers are shared only between a Job Creator and the Worker they hire, for that job. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Your conduct

Don't post false, illegal or unsafe jobs or bids; don't harass or discriminate against other users; don't take payment for a LandLedger job outside the app to avoid fees; don't misuse other users' contact or location details; and don't try to manipulate prices or ratings.

8. What can't be posted

No jobs that are illegal or need a license the Worker doesn't hold; no passenger rides; no childcare, elder care or medical care; no adult or sexual services; no weapons, drugs or other regulated goods; no jobs that put anyone at risk of harm. We may remove any post and close accounts that break this rule.

9. Meeting people and staying safe

LandLedger does not run background checks on Job Creators or Workers. Use good judgment when meeting someone, tell a friend where you are going, and stop and report anything that feels unsafe. In an emergency call 911.

10. "ID verified by Stripe"

This badge means a Worker completed Stripe's identity and bank checks. It is not a background check, license check, or guarantee of work quality. Job Creators are responsible for choosing a Worker.

11. Price guidance

Typical price ranges and trends shown in the app come from what users on LandLedger posted, bid and agreed to. They are estimates for information only, not offers, advice, or a promise of what any job will cost or pay.

12. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (descriptions, photos, messages). You give LandLedger a limited license to host and show it to other users so the service works. You promise you have the right to post it. You can report a job from the app, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms.

13. Ending your account

You can delete your account in the app or by emailing info@getlandledger.com. Open jobs and payments must be finished or cancelled first. Records we must keep for legal or payment reasons stay, as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, LandLedger is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of work, for injury or property damage arising from a job, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid LandLedger in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will notify you in the app. Questions: info@getlandledger.com.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.
