Privacy Policy

LandLedger LLC ("LandLedger", "we", "us") of Aurora, Colorado runs the LandLedger app, which connects people who need a job done ("Job Creators") with people who do it ("Workers"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and your choices. Contact: info@getlandledger.com.
What we collect
Account information. Your phone number, or your name, email address and profile photo if you sign in with Google. You also choose a display name and a username, and may add a short bio, your city and state, and your role (Job Creator, Worker, or both).
Jobs, hubs and bids. Job descriptions, categories, prices, schedules and photos; the addresses and pin locations of property "hubs" you create; bids you send, with their prices and messages.
Location. With your permission, your device's location while the app is open, to show jobs near you on the map. We do not collect your location in the background. Hub locations you enter are stored as an exact pin that only you (and a Worker you hire, for that job) can see; everyone else sees only an approximate circle.
Photos and camera. Photos you take or choose for jobs, your profile, or proof of completed work. The app asks for camera access only when you add a photo.
Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. Card and bank details go to Stripe and are not stored by LandLedger. Workers give Stripe their identity and bank details to be paid. We keep the payment records we need to run the service: amounts, status, dates, and Stripe reference IDs.
Device information. A push-notification token so we can notify you about bids, payments and job updates, and security checks (Firebase App Check) that help block fake apps.
Price information. The prices on jobs, bids and accepted work are combined into anonymous local rate estimates (for example, "typical range for plumbing in your area"). These estimates contain no names or contact details.
We do not run ads, we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To create your account and run the marketplace: showing jobs on the map, letting you post, bid, hire, and get paid.
- To hold and release payments, refund, and resolve disputes.
- To send notifications you ask for.
- To keep the service safe: prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and respond to reports.
- To show typical prices for a type of work.
- To follow the law.
Who sees your information
- Other users. Your display name, role, bio and photo are visible to other users. A Job Creator sees a Worker's bid (price, days, message). Exact hub locations and phone numbers are shared only between a Job Creator and the Worker they hire, for that job. Job posts show an approximate area, not an exact address.
- Service providers who run the app for us: Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check, and Google Maps) and Stripe (payments and identity verification for payouts).
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people, prevent fraud, or handle a dispute.
- A business transfer, such as a merger or sale, with notice to you.
Keeping and deleting your information
You can delete your account in the app under Account → Security → Delete account, or by emailing info@getlandledger.com from the address or phone number on your account. Instructions are also at https://landledger-africa.web.app/delete-account/. Deleting your account removes your profile, contact details, hubs, posts and photos, and removes your open bids and unfinished jobs. Deleting is not possible while a job is in progress or a payment is being held. Some records are kept because the law or a dispute requires it, such as payment records for jobs that involved a payment, for as long as legally required (generally up to seven years); those records are separated from your profile as far as we can. We handle deletion requests within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off location, camera and notification permissions in your phone settings, edit your profile, and choose whether hubs appear on the map. Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado and other US states), you may have the right to know what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, and not have it sold (we don't sell it). Email info@getlandledger.com to use these rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted by account rules, and payments are processed by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong phone lock and keep your device up to date.
Children
LandLedger is for adults. You must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post updates here and, for important changes, in the app.
