Everything you need to know about the platform.
For Property Owners
-
Every worker is phone-verified, and our first 100 workers are manually vetted by the Land Ledger team. You can see their ratings, completed job count, and reviews from other property owners before hiring. Over time, workers build reputations through successful jobs.
-
Your payment is held in escrow until you confirm the work is complete and satisfactory. If there's a dispute, Land Ledger mediates and only releases payment when both sides agree the issue is resolved.
-
You pay when you accept a bid, but the money is held securely in escrow. The worker doesn't receive payment until you confirm the job is done to your satisfaction.
-
Land Ledger's team reviews the job details, photos, and both parties' accounts. We mediate to reach a fair resolution. If the work genuinely wasn't completed as agreed, payment can be refunded or adjusted.
-
[Insert fee structure once finalized — typically 10-15% service fee on completed transactions]

Your payment is guaranteed. Once the property owner confirms the job is complete, the money is released to you immediately. If there's a dispute, Land Ledger holds the payment until it's resolved fairly.
-
Yes. Land Ledger is a mobile app (iOS and Android). You'll need a smartphone with internet access to browse jobs, submit bids, and communicate with property owners.
-
You build your reputation through completed jobs and ratings. The more jobs you complete successfully, the higher your rating, and the more property owners will trust you. In the future, we'll add certifications and trade licenses for verified badges.
About the Platform
-
Workers select the neighborhoods they serve (e.g., Ikeja, Lekki, Surulere) or set a radius from their location (5km, 10km, 15km). Property owners only see workers who have opted into their area. This keeps jobs local and builds neighborhood trust.
-
Land Ledger is built for Africa: Escrow payments protect both sides (not just credit card processing), Hyper-local (Workers within 5km, building neighborhood trust), Africa payment methods (Mobile money, bank transfer, cash-friendly), Community-focused (Every job strengthens your neighborhood).
-
We're launching our pilot in Lagos in Q4 2028, starting with Ikeja, Surulere, and Lekki/Ajah. We plan to expand to Abuja, Accra, Limbe, and other African metro areas in 2029+.
-
Yes. We only collect property address (to match with nearby workers), worker service area (neighborhoods they cover), and job location (to show distance). Exact addresses are only shared after a bid is accepted. Data is encrypted, never sold, and compliant with Nigerian data protection regulations.
