Refund Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This policy matches how payments work in the LandLedger app.
When you pay
Job Creators pay the accepted bid price when they hire a Worker. The money is held by LandLedger's payment processor (Stripe) and is not sent to the Worker until the Job Creator releases it.
Full refunds
- Job Creator cancels before proof: After paying, and before the Worker submits proof of work, the Job Creator can tap Cancel job & get a refund for a full refund. The Job Creator can reopen the job for other Workers or cancel it.
- Worker backs out: If the hired Worker taps I can't do this job, the Job Creator is refunded in full and the job reopens for other Workers.
After proof is submitted
Once the Worker submits proof, the Job Creator can release payment, ask for changes, or report an issue. The Job Creator can no longer cancel for a refund on their own.
Reporting an issue (disputes)
Either party can report an issue while payment is held. The payment is frozen, and LandLedger support reviews the job details, messages, and proof photos. Support then either releases the payment to the Worker or refunds the Job Creator, and both parties are notified.
After payment is released
Released payments are final and can't be refunded through LandLedger. Contact the Worker directly, or email info@getlandledger.com for help.
Timing and fees
Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. A full refund includes the full amount the Job Creator paid.
